How to: MP3 playlists

Most MP3 players have standard playlist features. Playlists are lists of songs that the MP3 user has created, in any way that the user likes.

Nearly all MP3 players offer playlist functions such as repeat and shuffle. Repeat is a feature that does exactly what it sounds like—it repeats the song or playlist that was just finished. Shuffle will mix up a playlist and play the songs in a different order.

Newer models of MP3 players offer a different playlist option—the ability to create playlists on the fly, without using a compuHter. Smart playlists—in which the MP3 player designs a playlist from the songs in your player based upon a genre of music–are also making an appearance.
